*Dr. Sue Kenney became interested in immigrants’ rights work during her
years as a restaurant owner in Hackensack, New Jersey.  She joined First
Friends, an immigrants’ rights advocacy group in 2011, and has been
visiting undocumented immigrants being held in detention ever since. Sue
lives with her husband, Tom, in Washington Township, and teaches English at
Immaculate Heart Academy.  Last year Sue earned her doctorate in
interdisciplinary humanities from Drew University.*
