This year there are* two local events* celebrating the Birthday of Dr.
Martin Luther King that are co-sponsored by our congregation, UUCP. The
annual event of the Bergen County MLK Birthday Committee will be held on
Monday Jan.16 at 6:30PM. UUCP has been a long time co-sponsor and
supporter of this event. The annual Rev. Lee Reid Award will be presented
(continuing to honor UUCP's founding minister). Our name will be called
during the ceremony and UUCP members will be asked to stand and be
recognized. All UUCP members and friends are urged to attend this
traditional community event.
Also, on Sunday, January 15 at noon a panel discussion will be held at
Central Unitarian Church co-sponsored by our UUCP Racial & Social Jusrice
Team. Those who are attending this event can carpool after our own Sunday
