[UUCP] "ARTISTS ON THEIR ART" SERIES - 6/14/2017

Join UUCP on *Wednesday, June 14th at 7:00 PM for our “Artists on their
Art” Series*. We are pleased to have two very accomplished artists for our
series: Judith Bellini and Miriam Stern.

Judith Bellini: Teaneck artist has studied with New York abstract
expressionist artists Gerry Samuels and Bruce Dorfman at  the Art Center of
Northern New Jersey and the Art Students League in New York City.  Ms
Bellini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of
Hawaii and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Hunter College. She has
exhibited in 18 group shows and has had ten solo shows in New Jersey
galleries. In 2004 she was awarded first prize in the Bergen County Senior
competition for professional oil painting. In 2005 Ms. Bellini received the
highest achievement award for the Bergen County Senior show. In April 2017,
Ms.Bellini received the honor of having four landscape paintings selected
by Hackensack University Medical Center to be permanently installed in the
new wing of the hospital.

Miriam Stern: The recently published artist book, “Miriam Stern”, is a
retrospective spanning the past 40 years of her artistic production.
Showing slides of her art and explaining her motivation, thinking, and
process, Miriam will share her unique perspective of what it means to be an
artist. The book reveals her sustained reflections on Judaism, feminism,
family and the connections between them.

There will be time after for questions, discussion and some
refreshments. We look forward to seeing you!
