literature features happy, smiling people who are so much more loved and
enlightened than we feel we are. What if we pray, and meditate, and do the
right thing, and everything still feels hopeless? Does God or hope or
meaning exist in the darkness? Even Mahatma Gandhi feared he had failed.
Even Mother Teresa experienced doubt that put her through “the tortures of
hell.” Danusha Goska’s new book, “God through Binoculars: A Hitchhiker at a
Monastery” tells her own story of navigating one “dark night of the
soul.” “God through Binoculars” explores the relationship between spirit
and nature, the problem of evil, and moving forward even when it’s all
tunnel, no light at the end. And it offers tips on hitchhiking.  *


*DANUSHA GOSKA’S BIO:*

*Danusha V. Goska was born to Eastern European, peasant immigrants in New
Jersey. Danusha has lived in remote villages and large cities in Africa,
Asia, Europe, on both coasts, and in the heartland, of America. She has
traveled extensively, often alone, by hitchhiking. She has written several
books and many articles, including God Through Binoculars and Save Send
Delete.  Professional critics have called her work “inspirational,”
“important,” “courageous,” and “groundbreaking.” Goska holds an MA from UC
Berkeley, and a PhD from Indiana University Bloomington. She is currently
an adjunct professor at WPUNJ.*
