Hi, everyone,
We've been having some issues uploading the weekly sermons to the website.
Please forgive the delay as we try to resolve them.
This week the sermon will not be on the website.
Instead, I'm providing a link here that will take you directly to a page
where you'll see the audio player. Just click on the arrow and you can
listen. The link is at the bottom of this e-mail.
There are two songs, one at the beginning and one at the end.
The first is Penelope's Song by Loreena McKennitt. Penelope was the wife of
Odysseus in Greek mythology and the song is about her long wait for her
husband to return from the Trojan war.
The last song is an instrumental called "Icarus" by the Paul Winter
Consort. Icarus, in Greek mythology, was the son of Daedalus who fashioned
wings made of wax and feathers. He told Icarus not to fly to high, but
Icarus flew too close to the sun, the wax melted, and he plummeted to his
death in the sea.A cautionary tale!
Thanks again for your patience!
And many thanks to Michael Meyers-Jouan and Jon King for all their help in
resolving the issues with our website.
Sta well!
Peace and Light,
Rev. Paul
