[UUCP] Michael Moore on "The Impeachment Trial"

This morning I came upon a statement by Michael Moore on the results of the impeachment trial that offered me a fresh persapctive. Thought to share it with you all.

"Here’s how I see it: 
The majority of the Senate voted to convict! 
57 to 43! 
In any election, winning by FOURTEEN points, that’s considered a landslide. 
15% of Republican Senators voted to convict. The crack in the dam has now taken place.
The shocking, vicious video shown to the world on Wednesday of a right-wing supremacist mob hell-bent on killing Nancy Pelosi, Mike Pence and anyone who got in their way — this will never leave people’s minds. Everyone knows what we’re up against now, and we will without a doubt nonviolently crush this madness. 
The Democratic members of Congress proved their case to the American public and to the majority of the Senate. Trump only got off because there are still too many cowards, too many Republicans in Congress. We, the 82-Million Majority, will fix this next year in the midterms.  
You don’t think so? 
One word: GEORGIA. Again and again, in state after state, from now forward. 
We need a Stacey Abrams (or two or three) in every state. Are you the Stacey Abrams of North Carolina? Of Ohio? Of Florida?
