Thurs. September 8th at 11 AM 
UUCP Field Trip to Sweetwater Cultural Center in Stony Point / Meeting with Ramapough-Lenape Chief Dwayne Perry 
Luncheon to follow at the Tenafly Classic Diner

The Sweetwater Cultural Center is a newly formed, Indigenous-led organization dedicated “to promote the education, health, and welfare of Indigenous or Native Peoples and to preserve their cultures and ceremonial practices locally, regionally, and around the western hemisphere.
Upon our arrival, we will meet with Chief Dwayne Perry who will share about the Ramapough-Lenape community, past and present, and how we can best offer our support as a congregation.

*This structure and land it stands upon was formally a Presbyterian Church that was gifted from the Presbytery of Hudson River to the Ramapough-Lenape people On November 20, 2019

We plan to carpool. Stony point is an easy drive, approx 45 minutes north of Englewood New Jersey. Let me know if you’re driving?
