[UUCP] Food Drive Ends Sunday!

*LAST CALL FOR FOOD DRIVE ITEMS!*

Hello UUCP Members and Friends,

The Christie Street Project Food Drive ends this *Sunday, February 12*. If
you have not donated yet to the food drive and would like to, please see
details below. The need for food is staggering, and it is not going away.


*THE CHRISTIE STREET PROJECT*, an impromptu grass-roots charity run by
Susan and Allen Feltman, cordially invites all UUCP members and friends to
participate in a food drive. All food collected will be donated to the Office
of Concern Food Pantry at St. Cecilia’s <http://officeofconcern.com/>
in Englewood,
NJ, which has been serving hundreds of families per week.

St. Cecilia’s Food Pantry especially needs:
- cereal for children
- canned food like soups
- tuna
- boxes of pasta, rice
- dried or canned beans
- children’s diapers
* (no perishable or breakable items, no spaghetti sauce in glass jars).

Kindly leave your donation on the front steps of *187 Christie Street,
Leonia, NJ* any time before midnight on February 12th. This is totally
contact-free; there’s no need to ring the doorbell. The front steps will be
checked several times each day for donations, which will be added to the
bags of food that are going to help our hungry neighbors.

If you live too far from Leonia to drop the food off in person, if you are
too busy, or if you just prefer not to leave your comfy armchair, Susan
will shop for you. Please send a check made out to Susan Feltman in
whatever amount you choose, and send it to *187 Christie Street, Leonia, NJ
07605*. All checks will be acknowledged promptly by an email to the sender.
In order to make sure that the check arrives in time,
please send it at your earliest convenience. (Why not do it now?)
