*Mark the 10th Anniversary of the Tragedy of Lac Mégantic,* *Quebec*


*When:* Thursday, July 6, 2023

*Time:* 5:00 – 6:30 pm

*Where:* Bookstaver's Park, (GPS 855,Windsor Road, Teaneck Ambulance
Corp. Teaneck), across from the CSX rail line, near Cedar Lane, bus routes
and nearby parking.


*S**tand in solidarity with the people of Paulsboro, NJ, East Palestine, OH*,
and surrounding communities that are dealing with the serious health
impacts of the derailments of trains carrying vinyl chloride which produces
toxic dioxin when it burns.


*Call for the passage of A5605, new Rail Safety legislation for NJ, *including
minimum 2 person crews, shorter trains, wayside detectors, bridge
inspections, and other important provisions that can help prevent accidents.
