[UUCP] Instructions for Postcards to Swing States Campaign

Hi Friends!

Please consider joining this year's UUCP postcard-writing campaign to voters in Virginia to rally Democrats to vote in November!


 
*  If you would like to participate and have not received postcards yet, please reach out to Rev. Sonia.

*  If you already have postcards, please find the instructions below:

1) Write one of the message choices below

Message A: This message is the most effective message based on many studies:
Hi [Voter’s First Name], Thank you for being a voter! Who you vote for is
private, but whether you vote is public record. Please vote in the Tues. Nov 7 election! - [Volunteer’s First Name]

Message B: This plan-making message is also very effective:
Hi [Voter’s First Name], Thank you for being a voter! When will you vote in the
Tues. Nov. 7 election? Please plan ahead! - [Volunteer’s First Name]

Message C: This message makes both the recipient and their networks more likely to vote:
Hi [Voter’s First Name], Thank you for being a voter! Your friends and family
may need your reminder to vote. Please ask them to vote in the Tues. Nov 7 election! - [Volunteer’s First Name]


Here is an example of how to fit everything on the blank side, as well as where
the postmarks will go:

* Please mail these postcards on Friday, October 27th! 
Please do not mail the postcards earlier, because they would be less effective at increasing turnout. The dates already account for mail delays. Mail the
postcards loose and unsorted without rubber bands.
