Double your impact with CTII and the New Africa Fund
 
Dear friends of CTII, 

We have some incredible news to share! The Cape Town Interfaith Initiative (CTII) has been selected from over 4,000 applicants across Africa to join the New Africa Fund’s 2026 Cohort. As part of this prestigious group, we have been awarded a matching grant challenge. 

For the next 30 days, every amount you donate will be matched 1:1 by the New Africa Fund, up to $5,000 (approximately R80,000).

This means if you give R1,700 (or $100) to sponsor a learner, the New Africa Fund adds another R1,700—doubling your impact instantly.

Why This Matters Right Now 
Our fundraising efforts are predominantly to support the Youth Interfaith Intercultural Programme (YIIP) for 70 Grade 10 and 11 learners in 2026. This unique two-year journey equips young leaders with the empathy and intercultural skills to navigate our changing world.

As one of our learners, Ahmad, says: “Interfaith really allowed me to understand. I didn't have to accept, but I could listen. And that really changed the way I viewed life.”

The programme intentionally brings learners together from different religious backgrounds and communities in Cape Town. As Daniel also shared: “It taught me that different faiths don’t have to divide us, they can bring us closer through understanding and respect."
