[UUCP] Get Your Donations In!

*THE SERVICE AUCTION IS COMING UP...GET YOUR DONATIONS IN! *

The UUCP Service Auction will take place from October 9 to October 16
(online). Remember this is a fundraiser for UUCP. Therefore, we urge all of
you to submit items for the auction, and to invite friends and family.

Here are some recommendations for items that will be well received by
bidders:

   1. Outdoor events in the fall or spring.
   2. Food items delivered to the successful bidders.
   3. Jewelry (preferably made by the donor).
   4. Baskets of objects related by a theme (for example, Irish Whiskey
   with Irish Cheddar cheese and biscuits).
   5. Coupons and gift cards from local retailers, such as restaurants,
   clothing stores, and service providers.
   6. Personal services such as computer consulting, photography lessons,
   etc.


Please submit your items (with photographs if possible) to
auction at uucpalisades.org NOW!

In your submission, please include the following information:

   - A title
   - The donor (you) or donors
   - A description of the item
   - For an event, the location
   - For an event, the date and time
   - How many people can attend
   - The value (per bidder)
   - The opening bid (typically half the value)


As we get closer to the kickoff, you will have to register as a bidder at
