[UUCP] Happy Thanksgiving One and All

Thinking of everyone this Thanksgiving and hoping that this time with family, friends, neighbors and community is sweet and happy.
I am so grateful for all the ways in which you have touched my life and my heart. Thank you for the generosity and warmth of your welcome this Summer, and for regularly participating in our online services together. Especially this past Sunday when many of you stayed for Coffee Hour and shared so deeply and honestly. What a gift we gave each other. 
Let me share one of my favorite poems about the spirt and essence of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Gratitude

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.

It turns what we have into enough and more.

It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.

It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

It turns problems into gifts, failures into successes, the unexpected into

perfect timing and mistakes into important events.

It can turn an existence into a real life, and disconnected situations 

into important and beneficial lessons.

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today,

and creates a vision for tomorrow.
